I meant to send you a note about your discussion with my daughter's (Penelope) 1st grade class on Matisse. She came home and told me every detail about what she learned. It was wonderful to see her so excited, and it brought back happy memories from when I was her age and learning about artists. I wouldn't get to see the paintings I learned about until I was much, much older, but what I learned in elementary school stuck with me. After hearing Penelope talk about the class, I know it will stay with her as well - though I'm sure we can take her to see some Matisse a little earlier than I had a chance to see him. :) Thanks for the good work.
